Columbus DVD viewing whilst in drive - for kids

Just wondering if anyone knows of any work around or hack to enable DVD viewing whist the car is in motion. I.e to allow passengers to watch DVDs.

Did a quick google but couldn't really find anything.

you can purchase the VIM unlock harness from kufatec or ebay, I got one and it works fine. It's about $120 from memory.

It's more reliable when done in the unit's software. I can do it now from my new scan tool without removing the unit.

The cheap scanning tool is cheap scanning tool, designed to get the basic codes from the ECU while it's still mis and hit. Not capable of doing these kind of tasks.

Just upgrade firmware using the stickied thread at the top of the car.audio section. It includes vim fix.
