Ha... I was almost stationary from Fairford Road until the M5 Tunnel so even contemplating 120 was laughable...

updated the V5 maps, the POI file above has to be renamed from POI.DB3 to PersonalPOI.db3, I then was able to import....but it still doesn't show up in MAP > extras ... anyone?
Suggest you re-read post #21.
POI.DB3 should not be renamed and is not to be imported via SD Card.
The first link provides you the correct PersonalPOI.db3 file.
Interesting... POIInspector 5.7 gives me ADW_KRADARE warning.
It's a low risk threat, but it is definitely adware.
Hey Guys I am after some help. I have been able update my maps to V5 from V4.1 using the link that was provided. I forgot to say I am using a D unit with software 3970. That is fine. But I am having problems with the points of interest. I have first tried using a SD card and loading of Ponitsofinterest file and the system when I go into set up and Nav, the my points of interest is greyed out. That is using either V4.1 or V5. I have then tried taken a copy of the Disk I burnt with V5 opening it up and deleting and replaceing the POI file, burning a image of the file using IMGburn. Then burning this image onto a disk.
The unit accepts the disk asks to load and asks if I want to install the maps. It starts nearly finshes then stops right near the end spits out the disk and asks for the nav disk. If I put the disk back it will go through the process of install then spits out saying disk error.
Then I install the normal disk and I am back at stage one.
Can anybody offer any advice or is there a nice person who can offer a V5 disk image withe points of interest in there?
PLease HELP ME i have been tryign for ages and it is driving me mad
Try first step again (loading the personalPOI.db3 via SD Card).
But delete the previous ones (personalPOI.db3) on your unit's HDD (for good measure).
In a nutshell, we are talking 118 categories & over 45,000 actual POIs.
Give it some time to digest it all. I'd say at least an hour, depending on your unit.
If still greyed out after that ... then reboot your unit and see if it POI button appears. :thumb:
NOTE:
Until you get the SD card loaded POIs working, there's no point trying the delete & replace POI.db3.
As this POI.db3 file only loads the POIs into the master CATEGORIES (ALPHABETICAL) folder
This is mainly for the unit to include custom POIs in a "POIs near by" search.
In other words, it's the equivalent set I've created to help the RNS510 unit find them.
However the PersonalPOI.db3 file organises these into more logical subfolders under a folder called PERSONAL, to help users find them.
Well now I have got the burnt disk stuck in the system and the system will not eject it...
Any tips how to get the system to spit out the disk when the eject button will not work.
Soft reset:
"<" + ">" + "Info" key (far right hand side - upper)
And would I use the star key if I dont have the info key
Affirmative!
