Correct, you just load the original map CD on your computer, and replace the POI.DB3 file with one you've edited in POIinspector (free download - comes with a PDF guide how to use), then reburn the CD using IMGburn (doesn't work with Nero for me, probably because the RNS510 excepts a joint UDF/ISO9660 filesystem or something like that).Quote:

Haha yeh you will get used to the fickle nature of these things: it's because the online POI lists used to make the file aren't always 100% accurate as mentioned earlier in the thread this is a collation service only...Quote:

i have just purchased a 15' polo gti with DA (so has the 6.5" colour touchscreen).
is there any way in which I can add custom poi to the satnav system ? My employer offers a .csv file of our branch locations.and a .bmp icon. It would be great to have these added.

Aussitig, is there any way of making the speed cameras produce a warning sound? Perhaps in an update? Have to look at the screen to check for cameras which is unsafe when driving.
If it were up to Aussietig he would have enabled that years ago :)

I've been using aussitig's POI's since he began posting them on here. I have long valued the enormous amount of effort and time he has invested in supplying the file to members of the forum. This is just again to say thanks for that time and effort.
Dean at Retrofitters couldn't have made the new arrangements any easier for me. From the time I paid for the latest collection the communications from Dean to ensure installation went as smoothly as possible were nothing short of excellent. Thanks Dean.
Lastly, George at VW Village, Kensington was great. Turned up this morning (Saturday), and was on my way again with the new POIs loaded within minutes. Thanks George.
