    Cluster update - ColourMFA

So i was brave (foolish???) enough to give this installation a go.

Basic gist of it is to remove your cluster, strip it, strip it even more of the middle screen and all the LED's involved. Break it by cutting some tracks off of the cluster, then work on soldering up small ass contacts on the new motherboard. Button it all together to plug it in and (after sweating many bullets) there you go! Done!!!

It's called ColourMFA, some crazy russians have made up this awesome unit to fully digitise the FIS screen. I did this on my S3 but it is compatible for the following vehicles:

VW Golf IV, Bora, Jetta IV , Passat B5 / B5 + from the model year 2000

Skoda Oktavia MK1, Fabia MK1, Superb MK1 of the model year 2000

    Audi A6C5, A4B6, A4B7, A4B5, A3 (the S3) 8L, (they are working on the TT)

    with features such as
    - digital speedo
    - boost gauge
    - (all the regular fuel, travel, avg km's info)
    - oil temp/level
    - live measuring blocks
    - read and delete errors

...I think a video will be better in this situation

(if the video isn't working yet just check back in an hour or two)

Here are different install guides for those who would like to tackle it themselves
    https://www.drive2.ru/o/b/2995886/

They cost $200USD for the unit itself. If you are keen on getting the unit please let me know via comments below and I will try and organise a group buy in the relevant forum section. There is a wait time of around 2 months on the kits.
They need to be made, coded in for the car it's going in to, then there's the shipping time.

If you are keen but need it to be done for you, i will be happy to undertake the task. Price will be dependant on how much interest there is but i estimate it to be ~$600 all in (this covers the kit and the time to solder everything together... and that takes a while). You can show interest by replying to this thread.
This also means you will be without a car as i would need the cluster to be able to do the install, so factor that in. I am Melbourne based so for those who would like a live demo just let me know and we can see if we can organise something.
I think the video does a good job of explaining how it works anyway.

    Enjoy!
