Hi VWWs,
I got an RNS 510 unit from ebay and took it to VW but they failed to install for the following reason;

- will not accept Volkswagen update
- will not accept any mapping until update is complete

VW still had to charge me for the labour.
Then, they referred me to a car stereo shop but I was told that it will take a week and will cost me some hundreds because it looks like a chip inside unit must be broken.

When it was connected to a simulator, I could see 'Welcome to Volkswagen' sign but also could see an error message 'cannot be connected to the car system'.

Anyone had this sort of problem?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
