Speedster humps
Windows
G'day fellas, Got bored waiting for licence to re-validate itself, so i've decided to build a new parcel shelf for the VR6.
Enter, 16mm MDF sheet.
I know this sounds a bit thick, but this is a hardcore shelf.
Enter US Audio 554z Amplifer.
Putting it together yet?
Yep, the amp is built into the parcel shelf.
I'm tossing up between to other features, as i can't do both.
A: Speadster humps behind the rear headrests. bulit in fibreglass.
B: Two small windows that peer into the boot through the shelf, either end of the amplifier.
If i do the humps, it will be a white shelf. If i do the windows, it will be carpeted.
here it is un finnished.

I hate to shoot down the idea, but your amp will get sunburnt

the amp will be fine. It loves heat. it used to live under the floor in the boot with no air flo, and the widow is tinted.
Included is a picture of speedster humps, they are the bits on the back of the car, behind the headrests.
Oh I see now thanks for explanation

Your setting yourself up for your car getting broken into by flashing that amp around.

76 MkI 3 door swallowtail - 16v track car
76 MkI 3 door "long term" project
16mm MDF is pretty crazy for a parcel shelf, bit of a waste weight wise. I have to agree with the above 2 posts and say, your asking for your car to be broken into.
Although if you really want to do it.... go with the speeder humps.
i duno if your roof hatch will stay up if its supporting an amp and 16mm mdf, have you tried?
