    Bodgie car audio installers

I know this is not a VW problem but I just need some advise about my daughters Stereo installation by a so called expert from Woolongong .

My daughter has a holden cruze and had an upgrade done to her stereo , she already had a amp but the radio installer talked her into putting in a sub with pioneer speakers with tweeters he told her the sound would be a lot better , But after picking up her car she found very little difference and every time she uses her blinkers the sound comes out through the speakers .
She rang him and he tried to tell her it was normal ,What a load of BS ,
I rang the local auto electrician and he said it sounds like the unit or the speakers aren't grounded correctly ,
Any one here can give me some information on what is causing the feed back from her blinkers ??

And this company has adds running on win Tv but when she went there ,there was only young men doing the installations ??

troubleshooting.. it could be so many things - improper grounding would be the first thing i'd think of, but it might also be the headunit, the amp, the sub. can u try the head unit without the amp and sub? also, it appears which side the wire the rca/power might be a possibility. it's their responsibility to fix it anyway.

it's definitely not normal. if bill has been paid in full, try to get them to fix it otherwise small claims.
if it hasn't been paid, withhold payment.

the 'young men' doing the installs are contractors/apprentices..who obviously don't give two hoots. i had the same problem when i installed.. never again. i always look for family owned businesses now with installers who own the business and have years of experience.

100 % grounding issue or you can install a power filter.

Car audio installers leave a lot to be desired these days.

You can't just simply cut and slash your way through the wiring, jam your own bits and pieces in, and expect it all to work correctly.

Im pretty sure i spoke to you at jb hi fi mate. If she is ever up around western sydney tell her to bring it to the shop. Suprisingly we are one of the few car audio shops left that provide a warranty on our work.

She ended up taking it back to Frankies who sort of fixed the problem , there is no more indicator noise in the tweeters but she has lost her open door chimes , he told her she would need an extra speaker under the dash if she wanted them back ,
Weather this is correct or not she said she will live with out the chimes .

Oh dear.. I think the car does more sounds than just the door chimes through that warming system (fuel low warning is one that quickly comes to mind).
