    Hi!
Does anyone have proper installation instruction with pictures how to run the main bluetooth cable between the RNS510 and the bluetooth module under the drivers seat in a Tiguan?

You don't have to run it to under the seat, generally theres enough space on top of the glovebox

...and why not do it properly and install it where the manufacturer installs them as well? It's not that difficult to run the wiring to under the seat location.

How can I change the default 4 digit PIN code to connect my phone to the Bluetooth unit (9w7)? By default is 0000.
Plus if I am connected to the 9w7 unit, the sound of SMSs will not come through the speakers (only the ringing) so if I have the phone in my pocket I will not know when I receive a message. Is there a way to enable the SMS sound while I am connected to the Bluetooth unit?

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the harness for the 9w2 and 9w7 bluetooth modules? I need a harness for a 9w2 unit I got with a 2nd hand stereo but can't find one anywhere. I've seen the 9w7 cables though and I'm hoping that one might work.

Does anyone have a PDF users manual for the VW BT Gateway? Most of it is self explanatory with the 7P6 035 730L when controlling it from my MFD. I did find this 2010 Bluetooth Gateway for VW manual. Whilst it is for a US Mobridge / parrot device, it seems to operate in much the same manner. Can any one do better than this and produce an up to date user manual that contains newer features?

MDI and Bluetooth issues on RNS-510

    Hey all,

I recently just upgraded to a Golf from Polo and had to swap over the bluetooth model because the one in the Polo displayed track names etc. Anyways after swapping over the unit I noticed that now every time I get in the car I have to press pause and then un-pause to start playing my music. Previously in the Polo as soon as my phone synced it would start streaming music again. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have VCDs as well.

Second issue that whenever I plug my phone into the MDI plug the sound is dramatically decreased, almost like 56kbps. I have changed some things in VCDs but nothing to my knowledge that would effect this. I did however upgrade the firmware on my RNS-510.

    Does anyone have an suggestions.

    Thanks

for your first problem, try to delete the connection and re-create it... if the iPhone has had a recent update to IOS 7 it may have screwed up the bluetooth streaming...

2nd issue, there is an option in the setup of the RNS510 to set the levels that come from the MDI...
