ok ill try to have a look at the coding again on the weekend
thanks
When I purchased my GTI in November 2009, Bluetooth was not a standard inclusion, so I opted for the Dealer fitted system. I have had no problems with it since new till a couple of months ago, when I updated my iPhone 6 software to iOS 8.3. Since then, every incoming call rings through the car, the call connects for about 2 seconds through the Bluetooth system, then reverts back to the handset. So then I have to grab the handset and switch it back to the Bluetooth connection to continue the call. All outgoing calls work perfectly through the Bluetooth.
So far, I have been unable to find the Bluetooth module. Its not under the drivers seat, or in close to the head unit, as I have removed that already. I am thinking it may be behind the glove box, but haven't got around to removing that yet.
I don't know what type Bluetooth module is fitted, that's why I am trying to find it, but it is called 'VW UHV'
I have tried another iPhone with iOS 8.3 and the same issue occurs...
I have now updated my phone to iOS 8.4, but the same issue happens.
Has anyone else had issues like this? Or be able to point me to where the module might be?
Thanks
Kenneth
Prob best off to get a newer version control unit. Try and locate the control unit to get a part number and see if its a 9w7 or a nokia kit they fitted.
I'm trying to get bluetooth streaming with track display and mfsw controls working in my MK6 R. I've done some reading over the last few days and I think the problem is that my bluetooth module is too old and doesn't support AVRCP.
I have a RNS510 headunit (1TO 035 680 C) and 9W7 bluetooth unit (5K0 035 730 B). Bluetooth streaming currently works, but the display on the RNS510 just says "Bluetooth-Audio" - it doesn't show artist/track info and the play/pause and skip buttons are disabled.
If I buy a late model 9W7 bluetooth unit can I do a straight swap? I assume there are no differences between revisions of the same 9W7 model family regarding cable connections and such?
I'm looking at buying this NEW 9W7 VW Skoda Seat Bluetooth Control Unit Module 7P6 035 730 M 7P6035730M | eBay Which looks to be a direct replacement (looks identical to my current unit - barring the model name)
Can any one see any glaring faults with this plan?
Yep straight swap and you will get avrcp 1.3 support.

I currently have a RCD 510 (Bosch 5K0 035 190 (non a or b)) and Novero 9w2 (1K8 051 730 B) (dealer fitted). I purchased a 9w7 (5K0 035 730 F SW 2902 HW: H09) from another forum member (who says it was working in their car).
I have tried a direct swap of the two units but the 9w7 doesn't appear to be working, when i turn on the car there are no discoverable bluetooth devices on my phone?
Does anybody have any ideas how to get it to work?
Thanks, Tom
I'd get hold of someone with vcds to scan the car and check what the status of that new unit is. Possibly loose connection or pin etc
