Ok I'll give the re-syncing ago.

As for the MDI the levels are fine it's just very distorted.

The re-syncing didn't work in fact it made it worse I can't now change tracks on the steering wheel.

What should my audio in VCDs be set as?

Got the same issue - Polo to Golf, and now I have to press pause and play to get it to work. It's not the iPhone, as I just switched to an Android and getting the same issue...

I have this as well on my R36 (although I don't think the car makes a difference).

I find it only happens when I've been playing with my phone and my music app has been pushed into the foreground.

Have you enabled 'bluetooth autoplay' in the RNS options?

Hey guys and gals,

Just upgraded to the RCD510 Bosch unit in my 77TSI Golf and I'm now looking at adding bluetooth. Just wondering how hard it would be (if possible) to add a 9w7 or 9w2 unit in my car and how i connect it to the head unit, if anyone has done this or could shed some light on it would be great. Now that P plate laws have changed again my Blueant unit is useless and will look for a more integrated approach. I understand that steering wheel controls and MDI won't exist but even having to press on screen to pick up/hang up is better than nothing.

Very easy install.
Buy the kit from forum sponsor JKU, or carsystems.pl and it has the right wiring harness included.

Alternatively you can get a Dension BT gateway which has MDI type functionality thrown in for less than the 9w7..

All those BT modules listed in above post should install themselves into the canbus gateway installation list automagically.
In some instances some coding is required to gain full functionality, but basic functionality will just work.

Hey did anyone solve the Bluetooth auto play in the RNS510 because I have to press play on my iphone each time I get in the car, so annoying, previously in the polo it would auto play as soon as the car is on.

PS I haven't found the auto Bluetooth option either?
