What phone is it?
When trying to pair my iphone with our 2010 mulivan's RNS510 system, the car seems to find the phone but the phone does not seem to find the car( the phone has been connected before with other bluetooth devices so it can b done!!) and it keeps on searching. Then the car says that the phone is incompatible. Does anybody have the same problem, does the cars system not recognises the phone or is it a phone problem?? Or do I need a firmware, or other update??
Many thanks,
Michael
What phone is it?
he said an iPhone...
I just tried to connect a samsung phone and the same happened, can it b that I dont have bluetooth??? But why is the dash display saying that it found either the I phone 4 and the samsung omnia?? But both phones are not finding the car.
How do I know if I do have bluetooth?
Cheers
you shouldnt have to search both ways? When the car finds the phone, tell it to connect to the phone, then a prompt should come up on your phone asking if you want to connect to car bt.
If this does not work, id suggest a visit to your dealer.
the car's bluetooth is only 'visible' for 30 secs after ignition.
if ur mobile doesn't connect in the first 30 secs, u'll need to setup the connection.
u need to go into the phone setup menu (via maxidot) and perform a 'phone search'.
once the car bt finds ur mobile, and u pair it, it will automatically find & connect next time on ignition.
i've got a link to a bt user guide here.
if u've got no 'phone' menu in ur maxidot - u don't have bt installed.
