    Bluetooth audio streaming media controls?

I just had a bluetooth module installed over the weekend in my 2009 CC.

My head unit looks like this...

Although audio streaming works, which is nice, I cant skip tracks from the head unit or the controls on the steering wheel. Is this feature possible with my head unit. Is it possible I had the wrong BT module installed?

    Any help is appreciated.

I also have a '09 CC with a similar but slightly different head unit (rns510). I also had bt installed and mine does work.

Have you tried using a different bluetooth device..?. If could just be that the particular one you have isn't compatible

    Your headunit is an RCD510.
    What BT module is it?
What phone is it? Running what OS and version?
Both need to support AVRCP protocol to allow changing tracks and displaying artist/track info. AVRCP 1.3 is required for track/title info, 1.0 for remote control of tracks eg steering wheel buttons.

I will try and find out which module i have. The phone is a Nexus 5 runing KitKat 4.4.2.

From memory that should work fine. I'll have to check. Don't think there is any coding that controls this feature.

I asked the guy I bought it from and he said that not all RCD510's support the feature, I need the 190 A or B version. Is it possible to find out without pulling the head unit out?
