That sub box looks mint!
Great work...
Gotta love the job don't you? There is nothing better than a "clean" looking install of quality audio. Schmick job on the sub box and related gear.![]()

now that boot install i like, much the same as what i did for a mk4 Jetta.
Who did the sub box?
Audi S4 (2001) - Imola Yellow
Secret Project
Northfield Moorooka, in Brisbane. They are deadset the best. Best gear, best knowledge, best installers. In SEQ at least. It is exactly what I wanted, stock look, still got 99% of the boot useable.
They did a really good job of my doors on the Cefiro as well.
I mean the install is good, but the amount of effort they went to, to get me a full refund on a dodgy eclipse head deck I had was the clincher.

how does the sub sound?
probably getting one myslef soon but cant really find too much feedback on them apart from the MEA forums
what do you like about the sound, what dont you like?
1999 MK4 GTi 1.8T - Custom Code Stg 1, ECS Stg 1, 14lb Fly, 18" A8's
''Jap cars pull the G-Forces... Euro cars pull the G-Strings...''
dunno where you got that impression from - but no-one that i know of here runs SQ with any form of stock speakers - especially the guys who take first place - in fact the guys who win in Rookie even have very respectable systems even if they dont look the part but the equipment is top notch and most of the time great soundingHeck guys over in South Africa, are still competing in SQ with the factory front end. And take 1st prices too.
so nope - no cars i know of over here competing with stock speakers for front stage at all - maybe for rear fill - and anyone telling you they won with any form of stock speakers was having you on
unless they are competing in SPL and not in SQ![]()
Thats actually a 10inch...
The box was $420, with the grill. But thats obviously custom. I did ask them if they keep that mould to use again, but apparently not, make a new one for every car.
In regards to holein1's question. It just sounds nice. I think it needs a little bit more herbs still, but it is running in. Came with a big bit of paper with a big WARNING on it in regards to the run in time. So it will go back in next weekend just to turn it up a bit. Then see what its like. But its nice a really nice sound. Goes deep too. And it can handle a small enclosure well.
