Aux input from RCD300 to RCD310

I had an aftermarket aux cable installed into the RCD300 unit from my old Jetta that I had removed before I traded it in. We're soon to be picking up our Amarok that has an RCD310 installed with no aux input but I was wondering if the cable I removed from my Jetta would work in the Amarok?

Sorry to butt in on your thread.

Which aftermarket kit did/do you use? My Golf has the RCD300 and I've been looking for options to use my iPhone with it. I've also considered fitting an RCD310, it all hinges on the iPhone.

Pinout is different on the cd changer side of the rcd 310, the audio ground is on a different pin.
