IMO the product is great. but I guess they don't know EVERY combination of gateway and devices in your car, not to mention all the settings etc. plus English isn't their first language.

    unfortunately, very expensive for you!

Ominous clouds overhead so will have to postpone until tomorrow.
Should have been clearer in my post - I removed the fuse cover to give me somewhere to fix the cable ties I used to hold the relay panel up and out of the way.

Had two attempts setting up the auto mirror dipping yesterday but nothing happens when I engage reverse, not sure if anyone has got this working yet..

I'm currently running 3 screens, and on every screen I have the last parameter as KM/H so that the speed is always showing. One screen shows power/boost, etc, another shows temps (oil, intake, etc), and another one shows other things like battery voltage (looks like I need a new one) - getting 11.x volts before starting the engine.

I did film a video using the GoPro but you can't really see the MFD that well in it anyway. The Chronometer works though - didn't have a great start but still got 6.58.. seconds to 100.

If that's during the cranking, then it's a very good, however it depends what the data refresh on that display is and what's the sampling rate.

It was just with ignition on (lights and RNS was turned off at the time). Very quick sampling rate with the FIS unit (i.e. the KMH output is much quicker than the default digital speed indicator on the MFD).

Cheers mate. I have VCDS, and my unit has the latest firmware (and I'll check/update it again before I get around to installing it in the car). Thanks for the info!

Good thing is that you'll update with the release software version for white MFD rather than the earlier beta version now.

I'd still recommend installing where you can easily update the unit. I'm guessing that there's going to be new features and data supported in futures releases that you're going to want. So best to make the install (relatively) accessible.

Thanks Tigger73 for the Group Buy

    Recieved mine Friday at work.

And again when wanting to install some goodies onto the car it is another 35degC+ day! LOL

My Mk5 Jetta was not all to plan.
I tried going through to the CANBUS controller from the inside but I had another contoller in front of it and I could not push it out of the way to get to the CANBUS connector... so I went in from the rain tray.

IMO going from the top through the rain tray was much much easier. There are only 2 stumbling blocks...
    1) getting the wiper arms off the spindla after you undo the nut - trick is to grab the wiper blade with right hand and hold it just off the glass then with the left hand grab the spring loaded hinge and gently push down then pull up again and again and it will walk off the spindle.
    2) Getting the wiper mechanism out - trick is to take out the torx bolts. move the wiper mechanism towards the center of car till you can drop the side part down under the mounting location, then shift it back up under the windscreen towards the side of the car. Now rotate the front of the mechanism up and the center part will now slide up and out then just gently wiggle the wiper mechanism up and out towards the center of the car.

What I also did was put some split loom tube over the FIS+ connection cables so it does not rub and wear against anything under the dash.

Yeah... that always makes things interesting. I installed a mount for my phone including concealed power supply. Nothing like dripping sweat over a hot soldering iron

Wow that's quite a change of mind you had there Adam - what was your reasoning (considering I've done the opposite going from Torque Pro to Polar FIS for better integration)
