I can confirm that the MK6 GTI has the same location for the canbus module. We were playing with one a couple of weeks ago doing a xenon install and had to remove the wiper motor the same as you did.

Mate, yes I did read the links......and there is a big list of parameters available.....and the video link I posted shows these options/parameters.......but the OP says the screen he shows is all that is available on the white screen models.
That is where I am confused. The video shows heaps, the OP's video show few parameters available?????????

Not having a go at anyone......just trying to find out what is available. Please show me where it says only 1 screen of parameters are available for white screen models.

Ah my bad, I see your angle now.

Only 4 stats can be shown at once on screen. You use the menus in the other video to select the parameters you want to show. You can set up extra screens too but each screen is limited to 4

I think you'll find that all those parameters are available - just that you get to select 4 of them to put on the display.

So you have to pick your top 4 out of the 100 or so parameters available. Man that's going to be hard.

Cool. That's a little more manageable.

How many chronometers/timers does it allow you to set up? Looking forward to testing these functions out and get 0-100, 60-80, 80-100km/hr times.

Incidentally, do you have the mirror dipping feature working? It's an issue driving the Tig guys nuts over in the Boost data in MFD thread!

I can't say as I have looked into it very closely yet. There was a setting in there to set the home and dipped positions but I haven't actually seen it work yet. (That said I haven't spent any time doing much of anything at all over the weekend).

One thing I did notice this morning what driving to work… the speed indicated in the new menu is *actual* speed, not the number that your MFD usually displays…

Psychologically that's going to be interesting, we are almost conditioned to drive a few km/h over knowing that your speedo is out just means you also know your probably not really speeding (i.e. 64 indicated is really 60) and even then if your doing close to 70km/h indicated you're still unlikely to get pinged since it's more like 65… (Your local police may view this differently).

Now all of a sudden you have a (near) dead accurate speedo you really do have to stick to the limit Although I suppose on the upside you will know how fast you are really going.
