Out of interest. What units is the oil level measured in. The fis says 56 on mine. Would have thought the pan was a couple hundred mL. or is it a percentage?
Tried googling but got nothing

Wonder what the 'recommended' level is (i.e. most people would never wait for the warning light before filling up). Mine is about 49-50 atm, so I guess there's room for more... although I'm due for a service pretty soon so I can probably wait. I'll see what level it says after then.
You could always pull your dipstick and check... I mean that's the way people used to do it before they had a digital readout

Car is always parked on an angle at home plus I know from experience it'll be fine for a couple of weeks.
So after an initial false start, the new release of the firmware is out (0.3.2).
This includes a number of fixes including boost pressure now being displayed with greater resolution (0.1).
I've also added a detailed description of boost pressure to this thread here.
The 0.3.2 release also has screen numbers appearing briefly as you scroll through all the screens which means you can more easily keep track of which screen you are on.
For a full description of the 0.3.2 release please visit the Autopolar forum.

They had that Screen # thing on before and it really annoyed me. Nothing of any value to me so I'm not upgrading for now.
Mine has been reading 77.5 for the past couple of days when it is parked in my garage. Elsewhere it probably isn't as level.
If it drops to 77, do I report a oil consumption issue ? - LOL, perhaps a tad extreme..
Anyway, the detail that can be displayed is quite interesting. Even the engine oil temperature is shown from startup whereas on the standard VW computer it only changes from a couple of dashes to a number once it gets to a certain level (75C ?).
A great geeky addition !

It is an "improved" screen number thingy as in it only flashes up for an instant and you can multi-click and it will go forward/back the number of clicks. So nowhere near as slow as the previous version. As long as nobody complains too much about it you'll have it the next time you upgrade.

Yes my MFD only displays oil temp once it reaches 50degC. Before that it just reads "--".
Do you know what the "working" temperature of the oil for TSI engines is? i.e. what temp you need to get to before fanging it... I mean driving a little more enthusiastically?
