Apple car play - maps auto route

Hey guys just curious if this is something that everyone experiences.

Everytime I plug my iphone into the 330+ (Desay) apple maps will auto load a route for me. Generally either home or to a random food joint. Is this potentially an apple thing or firmware issue?

Any help would be great. Thanks

It’s an Apple thing. Is the food joint somewhere you frequent? IOS "learns" and it will make suggestions to home if you are away, or somewhere you go often if you are at home. We were building a new home, and it would often suggest navigation to the property when I got into the car at our old home. Easy enough to clear if you aren’t interested in travelling to the suggested destination.

Since Apple introduced their iOS maps app, the underlying data has been provided by Tom Tom. Not google.

Holy ****. This thread got sterilised...

OP have a look in maps or location services settings in the phone settings. I think there’s an option to turn this kind of feature off.

lol - must erase all trace of being wrong

I had a quick look in settings for Apple maps - couldn’t see anything obvious to me - but knowing Apple it could be somewhere obscure. Internet search might be your best friend on this issue.

Yah, I was thinking the same thing

i just had had a look. Settings>Siri & search > maps > search and Siri suggestions might be the toggle you’re after?

That might affect too many other functions, like "Siri, navigate to the nearest Woolworths"

Too bad you feel that way. I just keep the relevant conversation on topic and civilised. No need for the feral comments.
