Anyone tried these Dynavin units locally?

    Hi,

I've been looking at these Dynavin D99 units that appear to be integrated with the VW canbus:

Volkswagen, Bora,Caddy, Eos, Passat, Golf, Jetta, Tiguan, Touran, Transport, T5, Polo, Scirocco, INCARMEDIA, android

Has anyone had experience of these?

    Cheers,

    Tim

    Hi Tim,
I have the D99 dvn-vw1 which is the Android version in my mkv jetta. My Jetta only has the half height mfd so the reversing sensors do not show on the screen, thought the odb screen works.
The Android side replaces the GPS side of the dvn-vw so you need a Android GPS program or you can use google navigation/maps, I'm currently using both IGO and Sygic for GPS. It comes with a usb wireless network adapter, I connect via hotspot from my phone and have access to the internet. I've also got a bluetooth adapter connected to the Android side which lets me use things like the Torque app, this is seperate to the radio side bluetooth.
The radio is nice and easy to use and easy to navigate, the ipod screen isn't as good but you do get use to it and is functional. Bluetooth is good and haven't had any complaints, I've hooked up an external mic but you don't have to. I haven't use much of the other DVD/SD media screens so I can't really comment there.

    Hope this helps.
