ANS-810 / ANS-510 (PROPER RNS-510 alternative)

my unit has been working great but over the last few days the gps signal has been very flakey, sometimes i never get a signal, sometimes i get a signal after 20 minutes and other times after exiting igo and going back in a few times and then waiting a few minutes it finds a signal.

it used to be that it would have a signal as soon as the car was started, i've not changed anything and still park in the same places that i did when the signal was instant.

any ideas?

Did you perhaps perform a firmware upgrade recently? Sometimes this can happen. Try resetting the iGo software by deleting the folder named "save" on your GPS SD.

I have just received an update but I've yet to find any substantial improvements - I think this is just an incremental update that makes changing car logo / loading screen a bit easier, though so far it is still from a selection of preset images. I will send it out once I get more information on what has changed.

What firmware are you on and how is it inconsistent? The latest MCU could do the trick.

I am on the last firmware that was issued. The inconsistency is that the OPS display will only come up if you do not have the nav software running. If the nav software is running, then you are unlikely to see the OPS display. You still get the audio beeping, just no display as to which sensor is triggering or how far the object is.

key dkn do they have a unit for the vw cc yet 2009? i already own the ans810 but wanted to upgrade and what is the name of it?

i also have been having a problem with my ipod hook up, there is a static or ticking noise alol the time in the background of a song that has been happening for awhile. (used it with a iphone 4s and iphone 5 as of now.)

and i was wondering if the bluetooth audio on the new unit would be better quality because i origionally bought this unit for that but the quality was so bad ive been using the ipod cord instead.

are there any signifiacnt changes between the new unit and the ans810 that is worth upgrading?

no, not changed a thing. i'll try the reset.

i left it running for an hour today and it only found 2 satelites!
