For future reference, this is how it should be done. If they do want to withdraw the old one, they do this AFTER the launch of the new model. The thing is why? After all, it is a perfectly good performer that has cost a considerable amount to develop. Why not make full use of it, even if it is at a lower price point. The newer model has more features and is at a higher price point.
So people need to work out what they need and then buy accordingly.
Well this is what I have been discussing with them, originally they planned to keep the current ANS series just in the domestic Chinese market and push the new units for overseas markets where the demand for higher quality software is higher. But then since they are going to keep producing the current ANS series anyway, it made sense to keep development going, and the next step is to realise that not everyone will need the new generation.
There are many people here who have bought my ANS units very early on and even before all the updates came, they found the unit to be quite satisfactory. It went through a process of decisions, initially they were planning to stop development and I made the announcement to reflect that, but that position has now changed, hence why I now have to clarify. Especially since it had the curious side effect on all these other distributors following my thread to stop buying the current ANS! It appears this thread has many overseas lurkers.
At least I'm popular
