None of my customers seemed to have had that issue. I would ask for the latest firmware from them even if it is the same one, and just perform a firmware flash.
Well, I tried the iPod interface on my ANS-810 head unit. It has the M93 firmware and I just received and installed about 2 weeks ago.
Here is my initial assessment....
Head unit immediately recognized the ipod and started playing song. I could scroll through and select an album. After playing about 3 songs in succession I decided to hit the 'Folder' button and make some selections. It took me back to a blank screen with the 'cube' and arrow iconds on the right side. When I hit the cube icon it took me back to the selection screen where you have the choice of selecting music by Artist, Album, Genre, Song, etc. When I hit 'Album' nothing happened. Trying the rest of the icons/buttons gave no response either. Somewhere in this process the music did stop...can't recall exactly when. I did hit the 'back' icon (curled arrow) and I was taken back to the media playing screen, still with no music and this time no song name or album name showing on the screen. Unplugging the ipod and reconnecting did not help. I eventually got a windows CE dialog box with chinese characters surrounding 'launcher.exe' in the center of the screen. I decided to turn off/on the head unit but it still would not generate any song lists in the ipod mode. At this point, I had returned home and turned off the head unit, turned off the engine/power, then turned the key back to allow accessory power. I then was able to get an ipod song/album/artist listing to display. But, once again, any attempt to make a change once a song is playing FUBARs the head unit's ability to maintain and display a proper listing of the ipod contents. I again got the 'launcher.exe' dialog to display.
Is this similar to other people's experiences?? I am new to using my ipod like this and I know this is a recently updated area within the firmware but it doesn't work very well in my hands.
Sorry for the rambling...wanted to get this posted before I forgot some of the details. Wish I could have been more systematic but I was driving at the time!

Sandy,
Do I go through my sales rep to get the latest firmware? My rep was less than stellar and has simply stopped responding to my emails after he made the sale. Can you recommend a better contact or do they have a support email? Their feedback web form does not take my full email address (limited character length apparently) and I could not send a message via that route.
Paul.
Thankyou DkN for the firmware and map software updates! Both updates went as smooth as pie. As for the firmware, I really don't notice any difference apart from a network setting which I don't recall seeing in the last firmware. But I simply may have missed it in the previous firmware.
on another note .. i cant seem to find the remote wire on the back of the head unit .. trying to hook up an amp ..
also there one single RCA labeled for the Subwoofer .. from my knowledge i'll need 2 to actually get it all hooked up .. any ideas ?
thanks ,
Sam

Thanks for the idea. But, iTunes shows that my software is up to date already.
I also have been trying the bluetooth interface to play music from my Android phone. It works fine for about 2 minutes then the music cuts off. I check the phone and the music app is still playing but the connection is somehow cut off. Anyone else experience this?
I don't anticipate using this mode very often. I am just giving the firmware a thorough eval and trying to help find and maybe fix some bugs.
Paul.
