Is the GPS antenna in the position I recommended or is it still just below the air vents? If the GPS is locking on properly, there should be no issue with speed reading. Mine works perfectly fine, and I always rely on it rather than the slower VW speedo.
Also GPS software has an auto start function, it's under setup -> system I think. I'm sure I mentioned it somewhere in my instructions, but I will go check later.

Yes that is how the volume bar behaves but it is a rather fat bar - although the area it blocks on the map should still be behind your car so it's probably not a big issue.
So would the preference be volume drop or no volume drop? I found the volume drop annoying at times on the Audi but I suppose if you're blasting music you may not hear the sensors otherwise.

Unfortunately these days, cars are designed to be made as cheaply as possible and not necessarily for repair or modification. It is much quicker to have clips that snap in than covers that have to be screwed together. They are working down to a fraction of a second to cut costs. Their attitude is that if the owner wants to take it apart, then that's their problem.
Tiguan MY12 118TSI, white, no frills..... Had ANS810 ... Note the HAD ..... Now got RCD510 supplemented by 7" Android TomTom mounted on a HoldMyPhone .... Upgraded speakers Vibe BlackAir front splits and MBQuartz 12" ported sub driven from Infinity Reference 5350a amp .... oh and added fun
Any new firmware updates coming along with any fancy fixes?
As I said they are fixing the new iPod browsing interface before releasing the new firmware, I have asked them to fix a couple of the small things for the USB/SD music interface while they're at it, if they could squeeze them into this release. Should be a fairly significant update when it arrives.
