Delete the save folder again and put in sys.txt:
    shutdown_time=0

If that does not work, PM me.

Fixed my AM reception problem with this device from eBay (Item #:330722245645 -cant edit links from iPhone!)

Needed to butcher the 2 plugs to make them fit into my single DUAL connector, but now I have the best AM reception I've ever had in a car! And FM is better too.
Anyone else with a Tiguan (and any MY12 VW?) should consider this a mandatory accessory!

Also fitted the reverse cam as part of boot release of Tiguan.
Works a treat, but a little slow (3 secs?) to come on.
Any chance of it speeding up a little?

Looking forward to the upcoming FW update.

That's interesting, although your link doesn't work.

Do you mean the reverse camera takes 3 seconds on boot only or every time you switch to reverse? If it's on boot I'm not sure if there's much that can be done - I think the RNS is the same too, it comes down to the camera hardware needing a little time to be turned on.

From engaging reverse to picture on screen is 3-5 secs every time.
    Screen blanks almost immediately.
    didnt time the indicator lines.
Will do a proper timing after lunch.
Need to check if reverse lights come on quicker.
Could it be the relay box takes time to switch over?
or just a combination of lots of little delays along way.

Not a big problem, but the first few reversing manouvers were too quick to use the camera.... Doh!
It is a great picture both in bright sunlight and car parks. Not tried nighttime yet.

Hmm, I forgot that the relay means the camera needs to turn on again every time you switch to reverse. I know that with the licence plate LED type camera they turn on pretty much immediately.

With the antenna, do you mean this one:

VW AUDI VAG TWIN FAKRA TO DIN ANTENNA AERIAL ADAPTER PC5-149 CT27AA25 AAN2128 | eBay

If so that's interesting because I had two other antennas similar to that one and neither of them did anything for me.

That is exactly the unit. Worth every cent in my case.

Thats the adapter type I used for the older AS7609 unit. Had major interference issues (buzzing in the speakers) until I isolated the outer connector from the socket in the HU with electrical tape. All good since.

Fixed my navigation startup issues with a firmware flash,no more errors on startup and unit operates much more smoothly
Only problem now is that the firmware was targeted for vw theme, I.e. boot screens, red buttons etc.

Does anybody know how to switch to the skoda theme (green)?

It's straight forward enough but you need the Skoda boot logo, I was gonna upload what I have but didn't get around to it today. If you make one yourself, you need a 16 bit .BMP file (not 24 bit true colour) and the size must be 480 x 272. You should end up with a file 255Kb in size.

If you can't get this to work I will PM you my file along with the procedure when I get home.

Thank you, I've got the correct boot image altought I'm struggling to find software to convert to 16bit, the options are all either 8bpp or 24bpp.

Once I have the boot image up and running, is it easy enought to change the software buttons from the VW red to the Skoda green?
