First thing I would "guess" is a poor connection somewhere, either in the unit (soldered joint) or a connector internally.
Second would be is the car battery "low"?
If you run the car for a few minutes then turn it on is it ok?

Thats why I suggested a solder joint or connector.

I'm beginning to think this is too good to be true. Shortly after getting the unit I complained that the Bluetooth mic is no good and have been playing email tennis with AS since. They want me to have it repaired locally at my cost! They asked me to take it apart to check the wiring and replace the mic
ive been in contact with Sandy and was trying to update to M140. It won't read 3 of the cards I tried. Now the gps sd card slot won't read my navi card. It's a cracking device but you are on your own a little. I can't believe you can recieve a faulty product and be out of pocket.
Does the gps sd card slot support fat32? The card I had working was 2gb fat. I temporarily deleted that to copy the FW updates to test another card. Now it won't update from and card I try and I can't browse for gps path anymore. Looks like the reader is shot.
....gggrrrrr
Just noticed a couple of odd things on my ANS-610.
I have the latest firmware applied.
First, I have had it switch off without me doing anything at all. It does not happen when running, but after I have stopped it and then restarted. I have to manually start the unit by pressing the on/off button. About the only difference being that I am in Bendigo and the temperature is a lot lower than in Sydney where I normally am.
The second is that if I let a call go through to voicemail, the navigation sounds turn off and I have to re-select the voice to get audio navigation and alert messages. What happened this time was I had the ignition in the off position but the key in the switch so the ANS-610 was on. While I was checking tyre pressures at a service station I heard the phone ring in the car, but I decided not to answer and let it go through to voicemail. When I restarted, there were no navigation or other sounds at all. Even the radio had to be selected again.
Hey guys, I've got an ANS-510 running M136 (I think)... when I go into reverse, I get the image of the car, and I can hear the beeps as usual, but I never see the proximity displayed on the screen? Do I need to recode the car (with VCDS) to support this?
