Your second screenshot is showing no CAN-Bus errors. I don't recall if the CAN-Bus one is normal but the radio one is - you cannot clear that one. This is the case if you install anything other than OEM radio. Apparently Audiosources had a solution for the mk6 Golf that will eliminate fault codes but it broke compatibility with the mk5s so right now there isn't anything that can be done.

Regarding OBD, right now it seems to have been shelved. I am currently discussing a USB ELM327 option as opposed to the proprietary route that AS took (which obviously isn't working out so well). BT ELM327 would be ideal but the current BT module for AS units does not have host function.

If I have to buy another ELM scanner thats USB and route the cable to the back of the ANS810 then i would happily do that as long as they allow it to be generic etc, but its a shame they have shelved it as parts of it seemed to work (car info more than OBD) so clearly they can get the information to the headunit..

    No problem.
Ive seen them with all the afermarket units Ive fitted . You can clear the codes but they will come back.
Doesnt affect the operation Ive found at all.

The advantage of the Ross Tech active cable is the other features available IF you want to check, modify, fault find etc.
Off topic but an example..my sunroof now shuts if I left it open after locking the car and it rains etc

My unit has problem whit touch panel. It is not accurate as it was before. I have tried to re calibrated it but with no luck. Calibration won't go through and I have to shut off whole unit at I can exit the calibration. I have taken the unit out of the car, but it did not help. Is touch panel permanently broken, or whether a new software help?

    Hi all,

I updated my ANS from M99 to M140 a couple of days ago. I could not care less about the OBD function but here are some other comments:

+ unit seems to be a little quicker
+ SD folders can be used now, i.e. no more automatic return to the first folder
+ OPS works also with navigation
+ start and loading screen picture can be chosen (modern version of the oem logo included)
+ radio button switches between FM1, FM2, FM3 and AM

    - OPS switches to camera (which I don't have) if reverse gear is selected twice, i.e. if one has to move forward a little while parking. How could they mess this up??? This used to work just fine in M99...

There are two MCU files ANS510AS.130806.m1.D0 and ANS510AS.121123.m1.D1, have use the correct one ?
If you don't have rear camera you have to use the m1.D1.

Yes, I have used the correct one and the correct one is D0 (if the update instructions are correct). I have the camera wire as described in the update instructions:

    6. Current firmware releases are distributed with two types of MCUs. One version of the MCU
ends in ‘D0’ while another ends in ‘D1’. The D0 MCU is for those units shipped with a brown
“back conn” wire for the reverse camera that comes out of the iPod / USB adapter. D1 MCU
is for those without this wire. This wire provides switched power for reverse cameras. If you
are not sure if you have this wire or not, but you are experiencing reverse camera-related
issues, it’s possible you have the wrong MCU – just try flashing the other version, no harm
    will come to your unit.

My original factory installed M99 version was a T0 though. I am not sure if there are some odd T version units around too...
