Ooooh! Setup, System, scroll up and there is a setting for "Camera Volume" which is set to "Mute" by default. Change it to 5, 10 or 15 and the volume while reversing is set to that level. I have set it to 5, so the radio goes quieter while reversing, but doesn't turn off. One problem solved!
