The salespeople do not always have the latest software. It's also possible they sent the wrong MPU, since it seems they do have the latest MCU.

I have been dealing with Lucy. She sold me my original Audiosources stuff a couple of years back.

I've dealt with her before too, she's alright, but as I said the salespeople don't always have the latest firmware. You can ask again if she has M93, otherwise I will post up the final firmware publicly when the new platform is released anyway, which I expect should be in about a month.

Also for your car you should use the boot handle type camera which is also used for the Touareg and Tiguan. It's the one that replaces the OEM boot handle mechanism.

They ship almost exclusively through DHL, the delay is probably in producing your unit. Not making excuses for them, but when you order direct from them it's not uncommon to run into misunderstandings and less than ideal customer service. I'd recommend anyone ordering direct to deal with Michael, he's generally easier to deal with and knows a bit more than most of the others (partly due to dealing with me ).

Keep in mind though that you are dealing direct with the manufacturer for individual purchases, there's only a certain level of service you can expect for something like this.
Paid $10 USD for the map. Ordered the camera for the boot handle...got some flimsy little thing with adhesive on the back. Dealt with Jason...I really had no choice via their ordering/messaging system. They advertise that the shipping to the US is 5 days, they don't let you know that it takes over a week to get the product out the door.

    Still waiting on a reply.

OK, found the GPS Map on a microSD in the GPS slot...just assumed it would be in one of the bags. Still waiting on reply about the reverse camera though.

Installed the head unit and appears to be functioning well. Will put it through its paces and report back. Used the dual FAKRA adapter and have excellent AM and FM reception.

I used a dual powered fakra adaptor too, good AM and FM reception (ANS 810)
On my Golf I am using this rev cam that replaces a number plate light.

That's the camera they were supposed to send me. Instead I got this little nub of a camera, basically the CCD in a tube with a small flange that has adhesive tape on it.

No, that's not the boot handle camera, that's the standard licence plate light camera for the Golf 5.

Sounds like what you got was just the generic camera. I'm fairly sure Jason is one of the new guys, they have a camera for pretty much every VW so there's no reason why they would send a generic camera otherwise.

Yeah, I didn't look at the pic too carefully. I did order the Golf/Tiguan boot handle camera though. Still waiting on a response from Jason.

Here's a pic from the audiosource web site of the camera I ordered...
