Thanks. The phone stuff doesn't matter to me either. I'm more concerned about the ANS messing with the CANBUS and interfering with some of the existing OEM functionality of the MFD.

with BT it does show the phone number calling or being dialled, but if you are not in a phone call it just says connected.
The ANS will never mess with original MFD functions because what it displays is restricted to within the audio menu. All your other menus are unaffected.
Just encounter a a possible defect.
RVC will not come up when on navigation screen. Was it mean to be that way? The RVC screen did flickers then went back to navi screen.

It's possible because navi is designed to sit on top of everything unless manually minimised. I don't think overwriting the RVC screen would be intentional though. Can you confirm if nav is running but minimised, does RVC show up as per normal? Also what version of firmware are you running?
I have been using the navigator on my ANS-610 and it is really good.
I had an interesting one today, and it beats me why someone would have done this.
I had to go to a client's premises in Homebush (NSW). They have a huge block, and there is a private driveway (about 250 m) from the entrance to the back of the property (all part of the lot). For OH&S, they have a 10 km/h speed sign at both ends of this private driveway. Evidently, when those preparing the mapping for the ANS-610, they happened to see the speed sign from Underwood Road, and so added the data at both ends of the driveway, so when I was leaving the premises from the car park at the back of the block, as soon as I reached the start of the driveway, the navigator screen showed the speed limit as 10 km/h. On my way out, my speed did creep up a touch and when it reached the trigger (+3 km/h), I got told the speed limit and was asked to slow down by the ANS-610!!!
I am looking forward to the map upgrade (when it comes out) as it does give a warning to slow to 70 km/h where the toll plaza was on the M4. That has long since gone, and it is 90 km/h all the way through. Also, there are changes to the speed limits on the M2, where there was a 40 km/h construction zone which shows up on the navigator, but is now 70 km/h.
How frequently do map upgrades come out?
Please help me,
my unit is stuck on boot logo it wont turn on, what can i do ? i tried to press reset button but is the same , DKN can you help me ?
Typically between half a year to one year intervals, but you do have the 2012 map. When my supplier releases new maps I will send the update out.
Did you flash new firmware? It would help if you gave me some context. If it happened by itself then you should try flashing new firmware but make sure you flash the correct one for your unit.
Yes i flash new firmware , but now i cannot do anything. So if you can help i will be gratefull. And please pm me for firmware email adress for fee. Thanks.
