I didn't know about 3G option even existing for ANS but nice if it is so. I was wondering though if you also have a contract (and SIM) for your 3G? A 3G option alone won't do anything, you need a service provider too.

Printed text missing from front panel is only positive and caps on card slots sound even better.
SD card(s) are not included and they never have been. AS does sell OPTIONAL navigation software card though (outdated software and maps and hence not worth it really). Just choose any WinCE navi software and be happy (I would recommend iGO Primo). Read my previous answer to your post.
The standard Fakra adapter included in the delivery is crap anyway. Purchase a separate dual Fakra adapter with amplifier for best reception. For example this:

PS. All the above has been posted here several times.
This unit has a single fakra connection screwed to the back of the unit. I've wired it all up tonight loose and it works. I've bit prepped maps on an sd card yet so I couldn't test that. I've read every page on this thread and I thought an sd card was supplied with the gps software with no maps on it. Never mind.
I saw a post elsewhere on the file format on the card for the nav
the biggest challenge is hiding all these cables and the gps it looks pretty tight in there.

I would still try to find an adapter to connect car's both antennas, i.e. dual fakra to single fakra. I don't know if there are any available but getting both antennas to work will make a difference in radio reception.
In my Touran all the cables were a really tight fit but eventually the whole package went in surprisingly easy. I hid the GPS antenna just under the box on top of the dash and it works perfectly.
I am looking to upgrade the standard bolero headunit in my 2011 Skoda Octavia as it does not have bluetooth or iPod connectivity.
I think the ANS510 will be an ideal replacement, although as I live in the UK it looks like I will have to order direct from China.
I have a couple of questions before I do that I was hoping someone with an ANS510 may be able to answer.
On the bolero if the stereo is turned off and you go into reverse you still get the OPS display on the screen. The same with the climatronic displaying on the screen if you adjust the temp with the stereo off.
Does the ANS510 do this, or does the unit have to be powered on for it to display?
Thanks in advance,
David
Unit needs to be on.
Check out Audiosources at Aliexpress, if you are going for direct order from China:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...545606420.html
edit: also available from UK:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Din-Car-...item3a7c56e6c7
Thanks very much for clarifying that the unit needs to be on to display OPS and Climatronic information.
The company selling on eBay is not Audiosources but some third party selling them on for some huge profit, they even state in the description the delivery time is so long because they have to have them shipped from China first!
What is the difference between Aliexpress and Alibaba? As I contacted Audiosources about this listing:
http://audiosources.en.alibaba.com/p...time&edm_ver=e
They came back and advised for the ans510 it would cost $290 USD plus shipping cost to UK $80 USD by DHL in 4-5 days.
But I cannot see how you go about purchasing from there, where as Aliexpress has a buy button but the price for the ANS510 is $420 USD?
That is a great offer! There is a "start order" button but the payment methods are a little odd. Alibaba is basically for B2B whereas Aliexpress is similar to ebay. For the offered price I would spend some time figuring out the escrow and alisecure options. Perhaps you can place the order through Alibaba and still send the payment through PayPal.
AS has huge fluctuation in their Aliexpress offers. In the last 12 months I have seen ANS units offered between as low as USD 310 and ridiculous USD 970.
The UK seller does promise local aftersales support and hence they need their margin. Buying from AS directly effectively gives you warranty like "if it fails, you can throw it away". They do offer 1 year warranty but you must pay for the shipment back to factory. (I bought my ANS610 from AS directly through aliexpress in last April)
I have replied to their offer message but have not had a reply back yet.
Paypal would be far easier for me (and offers some buyer protection) so I'll have to see what they come back with.
Is the ans-610 the same size as the RNS-510? I was looking at the ans510 as it is suppose to be the same size as my bolero unit.
All ANS units have same dimensions and can replace your original radio. Only difference is the screen size. I chose ANS610 as it has a little bigger display (7" vs. 6,5") but still comes with OEM design. The biggest screen ANS810 looks a little different but still fits in the same hole in your car.
