Technically yes but you can't identify individual pixels either way from the driver seat. This isn't a phone that you hold close to your face, so the bigger screen makes more sense - why waste pixels that you can't see? Bigger size in a car environment can only be bad if you can identify visual flaws.
I have owned both a 6.5 inch unit and my current ANS 810 and I can tell you I would never go back to a smaller screen. The only reasons I would not recommend the 810 are when a customer really does not like the design as a matter of personal taste and when they really want to stick close to OEM.

its tucked under the centre vents, its been fine up until a week ago.
where do other people have theres?
i've checked the connections and they're all fine.
i don't have the firmware to flash with, the seller has told me to move the antenna to somewhere above the dash. the only place i can see that won't look rubbish is behind the rearview mirror, what do you think?
thanks.
When I fitted mine (Caddy Maxi Life), there was a vertical surface just to the left of the opening where the unit went. I glued mine to that surface.
Oh yes, the excess cable should be wound into a figure of 8 pattern and kept like this with cable ties. If you wind it it, it will act an an antenna itself and not necessarily pick up the GPS signal.
I had mine mounted in the dash, behind the mirror and now just on top of dash in the very corner at bottom of windscreen. Found best signal there. Looks OK too.

Just checking but is this the latest version for the ans810?
If not may I please have the upgraded firmware. I should be a subscriber to your firmware updates
Thanks!
just wondering. with the forthcoming new and improved head units. is there any upgrade on the preamps or sound output?
I've heard a couple of isolated BT / iPod audio issues but these seem to be faulty units, for me and most of my customers there's no background noise.
M99 is the latest firmware now, I will be sending it out in the next few days, just need to update the instructions relating to MCU.
Other than OEM inputs at the back of the unit and the CPU / RAM change I don't know about the status of other hardware updates. I'm pushing them for the preamps but it's not something that customers in China really pay attention to so without requests they wouldn't see a need to upgrade. Going up to 4V would require an upgraded DSP chip.
From what I understand though the current 2V preamps sound pretty good as they are (nothing mind blowing but definitely better than OEM), and there is debate as to whether 4V or higher would really make a difference in a car environment full of metal.
