    Aftermarket head unit suggestion

    Hi All,
Would like to upgrade my rcd310 in my 09 tiguan to something with bluetooth, reverse camera capability and maybe sat nav head unit. Looking to get aftermarket so no rcd or rns unit. Any of you has installed aftermarket (preferably pioneer or alpine) that manage to retain the steering wheel and mfd function? Mainly steering wheel. If yes, what setup and parts needed please. Thanks

I've got a Zenec nc2011D in my Mk6 golf, am pretty happy with it. Has GPS and RVC input, full MFD and steering wheel button compatibility. The only nitpicks I have with it is no POI tweaking, so no speed camera alerts on GPS, and as bluetooth is self contained, only some steering wheel/MFD compatibility for BT functions.

Brilliant install in your Polo! Was it plug and play? I'd like to do something similar in my 03/2010 Transporter T5 but thought I would need CANBUS adaptors and maybe VCDS recoding.

    Thanks! Still loving it.

It was plug and play with the help from some aerpro iso harnesses. They we're a little pricey, but I didn't want to lose my steering wheel controls. Also the iso harness takes the reverse light signal, speed reading and handbrake signal from the ECU as the standard VW radio's in the polo's have communication with the CANBUS/ECU...
