    9W7 Install

    G'Day Guys

I was wondering if it were possible for anyone to help me install a 9W7 bluetooth kit into my mk6 Golf or recommend any one willing as I'm not that confident in taking my car apart nor do I have any of the coding tools. Happy to reimburse/buy a case of beer for your troubles, No dramas if you can't.

    Feel free to PM...

    Cheers
    Kash

    Hey Kash,

I just installed mine a couple of weeks ago into a GTI with an RCD510. See my post here http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f78/...9zb-45679.html

Install takes about an hour. Which unit did you get (did it come with all the cables, the mic and the underseat foam)? What head unit do you have? RCD510 or RNS510? It should work out of the box without any coding depending on what car and head unit you have.

If you want advanced functions to work like Push to talk and steering wheel controls for MFD then you will need to see someone with a VAGCOM. I went to see Jack at RAMSPEED in Seven Hills, only took about 15 minutes for him to code it. TCCM motorsports in Artarmon could also do the coding.

I enjoy these kinds of modifications and my bar fridge is empty at the moment. Send me a PM if your interested and maybe we can hook up sometime over the easter break.

    Cheers,
    Jamie

There is an area for the mic but you need to chase the cabling up to the point where any signal can be caught.

Hey JayRay, that post was cool coz I was looking at getting some coding done i'm gunna give RAMSPEED a call today. Can I ask on your RCD510 do you get climate display from when changing the AC etc?
