2011+ Jetta power cable install for sub?

Hi all. I've been doing some research to find the most easiest way to install a power cable in a jetta 1b mk6. I've found some info but they're overseas based and unsure if they're exactly correct as the driver is on the left. There's talk about running it through where the clutch would go.

Has anyone got some advice for me?

Coming from a holden, space is very limited in the engine bay to find grommets through the firewall.

Ok I worked it out. There's a grommet behind the battery. You must remove the battery to be able to access it.

It's a very tight fit. I'm using a 4ga cable. You need to ensure you remove the carpet inside from the passengers side and cut some of the foam carpet stuff out to be able to get the wire through.

What are you running the cable to? Do I smell a picture intense install thread coming?

I had to run a 4ga power cable for my amp. The amp is a clarion 800rms mono block so chews a bit of power to run 2 x 350rms dual coil pioneer subs.

It wasn't the easiest install I've done but got there eventually. Took me 5 hours with moderate breaks. This includes tapping into the rear speaker wire for the line output converter. Taking off the plastic panels was a pain!

I didn't take pictures unfortunately. I should of though because yes it would have been a good install thread ill take some photos of the finished work though and upload them when I jump on the computer next.
