    2008 MKV Jetta RCD510 Upgrade

    Hi guys.

Currently have a Silver buttoned mp3-cd compatible RCD500 ( http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/attach...1&d=1253359162 ) with a CD emulator kit like this( http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bluetooth...item2ecb164409 ) that gives me AUX USB & Bluetooth connectivity.

It works, most of the time, and is fairly limited in its integration with the rest of the car. Eg It will read music off a USB if the mp3's are sorted into folders like "CD1" "CD2" etc. However because the unit emulates normal CD's rather than mp3 cd's i dont get any song info apart from "track01".
Bluetooth streaming and calls works great, save for the fact that there is now way to play/pause skip tracks etc without physically interacting with your phone while driving (illegal hear in australia). and aux is aux with the input being a little poorer quality than i would have liked.

That said for the amount of money i shelled out (around $80 Australian) its served me well.

So. I'm looking to upgrade to a :

Delphi RCD510 unit (Cheaper, dont need MDI kit for aux&usb) http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...123522054.html with a
9w2 Bluetooth module (Delphi units dont do phonebooks, so i dont need the 9w7) http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...751262988.html and some
    OEM Connectivity Ports http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...933276285.html & http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...933222320.html

For an overall better experience and a clean OEM finish.

I have a Full Height Red MFD and Wheel Controls, and my CANBUS should be the version without battery drain issues (2008 and beyond). So i think the parts listed should work after some slight re-coding.
However after reading this : http://www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/bl...3-9w7-modules/ (see first few lines of "9w2 VW bluetooth setup and use") it would appear that the 9w2 unit I've listed above may not be compatible with my Red MFD.

Can anyone confirm this? Ive looked around and all the 9w2 units seem to be "1K8035730D"; rather than the "1Z0035729A" i apparently need for compatibility with my Red MFD which i cant find.

Really just looking for input as to whether or not im on the right track.

    TIA guys

    ***UPDATE***

Contacted the supplier i was looking to source my bit from and it turns out the newer 9w2 parts the stock dont play well with older red MFD's like mine.

So, my next option is a FIS unit. Except i dont know anything about them :/ Can anyone enlighten me?
