    VR6 Coolant -G11 vs G12

    Hi,

Am just about to replace the coolant in my (Passat) VR6 and realise I've been sold G12 ++ when the service book specifies G11 only.

I believe it is ok to run the G12++ but not to mix it.

Can anyone confirm and does anyone know the diff b/w G11 & G12?

I dont know the diff, but I have G12 in my golf vr6 and its just dandy. It actually runs a tad cooler, which is probably a good thing in Perth at least

I have G12++ in my vr6 golf, and it runs fine.

From memory G11 and G12 shouldnt be mixed,im not sure about G12++.

Just run a radiator flush through it befor putting the G12++ in.
