    504/507.

You can't go wrong. Volkswagen Australia have specified this for our market, in all vehicle across the range, built since 2007.

You must use 502.00 at the very least. Approved 502.00 lubricants are absolutely fine to use, just not as advanced as 504.00 is all.

You can use 504.00 even if your vehicle isn't on the LongLife regime, but it must be changed at the same fixed intervals - no later than 15 000 km/1 year.

It should not have been used regardless of mileage if the vehicle is under warranty.

I recommend the use of 504/507 lubricants, particularly in FSI/TSI/TDI engines.

504/507 is backwards compatible with VW's older specifications like 503/506, 502/505, etc (except for the R5 TDI and V10 TDI), but I don't specifically recommend 504/507 in older engines when 502/505 will do just fine in these applications.

Have changed oil and filter to Castrol approved 504/507 so should be OK now.

Garage who stuffed up giving reasonable refund so I wont name them or go back there either
