Oil Quality Standard VW 500.00 / 501.01

I'm after a list of all VW approved oils to the 500.00 and 501.01 standards.

Can find lists for 502.00 and 505.00 fine but nothing older.

Help a brother out!

I was more after a list of every oil that meets 500.00 and 501.01.

I'm hoping, but not assuming that anything that meets 502.00 and 505.00 *should* meet or exceed 500.00 / 501.01.

Just trying to pick the best quality yet most appropriate oil for my vr6

Ok ok, after a heap of googling it turns out the newer VW specs supersede the old ones. So i'm a twit.

Doesnt make my choice much easier but hey, you learn something new every day.
