    LPG Conversions anyone?

    Howdy Guys,
Considering the ever escalating price of petrol I'm considering an LPG conversion for my MK3 VR6. Anyone on here ever done it or know of anyone who has? Any issues or tips I should know about and is it a good or bad idea?

    Cheers
    Simon

i do not have a golf with LPG
my guess is vr6 is injected
my multipoint inj. x-trail cost $2,000 after cashback to do BUT as I travel lots I will have this paid for in 6 months and then a minimum of 40% savings each time I fill up with LPG - as opposed to ulp. more if u now use premium!!!

The cars I have driven with lpg run so smooth.
I feel good re the environment as gas is so much cleaner in burning AND production.

It's so good to burn gas! he he

Don't ruin the fun with gas,vr6 was designed for petrol.I have tried gas with a few different VW engines and have never been happy with the outcome, plus there will not be much boot space after a tank goes in.Gas is for BBQ's!

which vw's have you tried. Engine has to be in good nick.
Petrol is fun but pricey if you travel over the average ( did 52,000 kms) last year
My mechanic did up his father's 1970 beetle and gas under bonnet is smooth
For FUN trips you have dual fuel set up -switch back to premium!!
My x-trail has donut tank in wheel well.

    enjoy both
