Hi Team.
Anyone had any experience with INOX Battery Conditioner.
My Old Rodeo Diesel is a little slow kicking over in the cold mornings.
The battery is a bit old but with a new car on order and not wanting
to buy a new heavy duty battery I thought I would try INOX.
They Quote "If an older battery will not hold its charge properly, has
recharging problems or is generally slow, the addition of INOX in 90%
of cases will give the battery an additional new life of up to 2-3 years".
Cost $6.99 at supercheap for 92ml.
Whats your thoughts.
Neil.

Just an update on the INOX.
I purchased the product about 3 weeks ago. added the product and as suggested by MRL T5 gave the battery a good charge.
Results have been encouraging. Motor is turning over quicker on starting.
So the battery must have had a bit of power restored.
Something I did not mention is the battery is approximately 8 years old.
I left that out as not to get abused about not buying a new one.
I just thought it would be interesting to see if it would work.

Hi,
Neil you can also buy lead acid battery zapper from Jay-car. Cost under
$ 100.00 but it is also some sort of battery analyser.
Here are some basic info for monitoring the condition of your battery:
Battery Test - Basic
State of charge test:
1. Turn the ignition to OFF position
2. Turn the head lights ON for 30 seconds to dissipate the surface charge.
3. Turn the lights and accessories OFF
Battery voltage:
12.6V or above fully charged
12.4V – 12.5V 50 – 70 % charged
Under 12.3V needs charging
Voltage drop test
Up to 0.3 volts for battery terminals
Up to 0.1 volts for electronics components.
I use The Red Arc battery charger for charging all my batteries. It charges also sealed led acid and calcium batteries. So far it is the best battery charger I ever had. It is also Australia made.

Just another further update.
Been about a month now and I checked the fluid level for the first time.
I wished I could have taken pic's of before and after.
Before... the plates looked like a blocked air filter and very dirty looking fluid.
Now... the fluid looks clean and the lead plates can now be seen, they are
wavy looking as you would expect from an old battery but overall looks clean
and the car is starting quicker.
And to think it was only 10ml poured into each cell to make the changes.
Is it worth $6.99 ??... well, will have to see how long the old battery lasts.
But was worth the experiment.
Neil.
Hi, Neil
Your sucsesfull battery fix is also dependant on the construction of the battery and how robust are the plates including led composition used.
Some batteries last 8 or more years depending how they are looked after and how they were made.
Back to the RED ARC Battery charger. The pulse charging the battery may has rejuvinating affect simillar to that of the Inox.
The Inox is a more cost affective way.
The Red Arc charger can cost you arround $ 250.00
