    A few points first:

    - I run 100% BP Ultimate which I am very happy with.
    - I drive like a bat out of hell most of the time.
    - The car is very well maintanted otherwise with about 170,000km's on the engine.

Now lets talk some figures. I have kept a log of every time I filled up and the stats for each time I have traveled in my VR6.

    - On average I do about 320km's before filling up, I don't like to let it get too low so I don't pick up the rubbish in the tank.
    - My average over the 3,200km I have travelled is currently 11.99L/100km
    - Best consumptions for a tank is 10.18L/100km
    - Worst is 13.18L/100km

I tend to drive round town mostly with the ocasional trip keeping the average down.

I have seen numbers down round 8L/100km, but that is on the freeway at a nice even 110km/h. When I first bought mine I was asking about consumption and have seen quoted anywhere from 6-7L/100km up to 12-13L/100km. Unless you literally cruise up and down the freeway all the time, I think it's impossible to get 6-7. If your getting much under 12 I don't think you should be driving a VR6

    Any more questions?

If anyone is interested I can upload a copy of the excel log sheet I use which covers:
Date, Odometer, KM Trav, Litres, L/100KM, Tot L, This Tank, Av L/100KM, Days, This Tank, Av KM/Day.

Makes more sense when you see it in real life and for me it's great since I have a smartphone and update it when I'm at the petrol station

    LOL guys, I dreeeeeam of getting 10 - 14.

My current drive is a modded 5.4L FPV GT-P. It typically only does suburban kms and I average 19L/100kms.

On the freeway, it drops to a remarkable instantanous of 7, but at the other end of the scale, when i'm enjoying myself, the instantaneous reading jumps
    to 99.9

I had that all the way back from canberra (with 8v) at 130 (indicated 140)

The 16v on the other hand needs to be revved...
