With the impending track day at wakefield I want to drain and replace my gearbox oil and brake fluid.

Anyone with personal experience know of a good brand/product to get for both of them? also for the gearbox, i've heard of some syncro additives being used, is it needed? or will a good oil do the job. My gearbox is not crunchy at all but want to make sure it's all good for some hard use.

Brake fluid, i've read to use atleast dot 5.1 not dot4 is this correct?

only other thing i'm worried about are my rear tyres they are a bit low on tread at the moment and I think after a hard day they will be shot.
