Hi All,
My wife and I have decided to trade the MK4 Golf in, possibly on an Eos.
Having owned a 1.6 Mk4 for a couple of years now I have become familiar with the long list of "common problems" (you know the ones, gearboxes, window regulators etc)
If I am considering an Eos, is there anything that I should be looking out for? Are there issues common to most cars etc?
They have been around for a couple of years so any issues would have become evident by now I guess.
What's everyone's thoughts....
Thanks

As it's basically a MkV Golf, I'd have a look at the MkV issues thread, make a list from that and tick and flick on the car. Interior issues I guess would be the main problem.
Also as with any convertible, how the roof seals and wind noise and leaks due to this would be things to definitely check and the how the roof motor sounds and operates.
The original owner of my car bought an Eos just before the .:R to me. He got the 2.0TFSI, he said it wasn't as much fun but it was a lot more comfortable, cruisy and pretty quick anyway.
Good luck with the hunt.
Cheers,
Trent
