Great write up Leigh...having gone for a spin in your beast I think you got it spot on.

The EOS is a funny one...I've seen an old grandmother driving one in that horrible light blue colour with standard wheels, roof up and it looked VERY average indeed - a Passat gone wrong comes to mind. Then I see Leigh's car - silver, red nappa, 18s, roof down and it's a completely different car -almost sexy!

I've been going around in circles the last few weeks looking for a new purchase...the new TT & BMW coupes were standouts but I keep coming back to the EOS because of what you get for the money - I cannot justify the other two Germans for an extra $30k, and come summer time I know the EOS stock price will most certainly rise sharply - Decisions decisions...

Question - can you drop/pop the roof with the remote?

    Hey Derek

    Short answer is no.

VW don't provide this feature on the car but if you do a search around on the web there are at least two modules you can buy which provide this feature.

Have seen the feature on the Astra Twin Top and if you are standing next to the car holding your finger on the button the whole time I really don't see the point

There was a video on youtube a guy opened the roof with the remote pushing open 5 times.
