I have had none of the issues that would require an application of Krytox at this stage.
When the vehicle was delivered the Salesman was well aware that I had researched the Eos extensively but did not mention Krytox in regard to whether it had been used in the PDI or with it's use in ongoing maintenance. It is however mentioned in the Driver's Handbook.
The seals on my vehicle looked in good condition on delivery and so far so good. It definitely does not leak
I have however purchased a bottle of the "Magic Cure for all Problems" for the princely sum of $85.90 including GST from my dealer to cover all eventualities.
As for checking the car on delivery the usual I guess. The biggest problem here is all you want to do is grab the keys and go. And if I am telling you how to suck eggs please ignore the following
Try to take your time checking the car over carefully inside and out in daylight or in a well lighted area, it is Melbourne after all, roof up and down looking at the paint, panel gaps particularly around the roof and sunroof and the condition of the seals. Open the bonnet and boot and all doors, check over the interior for any scuff marks or other damage. I later found that my tires were a little over inflated but apart from that everything was spot on.
On the drive home check everything on the vehicle Audio, Airconditioning, Seat Heaters, Cruise Control etc to see whether they work and if it doesn't just check the handbook first to make sure that you are doing it right! My Dealer did a good job of explaining and demonstrating all the features to me and we spent about 20 minutes doing this even though I was very familiar with the Eos.
