Current model Eos and 2.0T engine

While my MkV Jetta TFSI (2.0T/DSG) was in for a service they gave me a loaner EOS, also 2.0T and DSG.

I must say the engine felt pokier and the gearbox sharper than my Jetta (which only has 11000kms on the odo). Does the EOS have a different generation 2.0T and DSG to the MkV Jetta? I thought they were the same?

If its the new 155TSI then yes its the newer engine of the current MkVI GTI while your Jetta has the 147TSI from MkV GTI.
