Great testimony Fred glad to hear your enjoying the Eos
I have had my car for a week now and I have taken it from 26 Km to 997 Km. The weather has been varied and so I've experienced roof up and down with windows up and down and various configurations of sunroof etc. I really like the flexibility. Today it rained and I am very impressed by the automatic wipers.
My favourite feature (after the CSC roof) has been the heated seats. It is luxury and I would never have thought that I would have needed these. They are now in my "every car from now on will have to have these" category.
The engine is great. I have been "good/gentle" while running the engine in, but it is clear that the 2.0 T is a nippy performer and the DSG gear box is "as smooth as".
I can't wait to push it a bit in S mode.
The ride is firm compared to my last car (Jaguar XJ8 ) which had sports suspension as an option. The seats in the Eos fit me better than the Jag. I do not regret the move at all.
The sound system is the standard offering and it is more than adequate. I do not wish I had a better Dynaudio system. For my ears there is no faulting this set-up. I have setup the Bluetooth phone and it does exactly what it is supposed to do as well.
All that remains is for me to wash the week's road grime away and I'll be out there again.

sounds like they're worth every penny!! nice
So it is now two months and 7000km (almost). I am still enjoying it like a brand new experience.
Faults. Only two little things.
1. When the car is hot from standing parked in the sun the front passenger seat senses a passenger (when there is none) and sets off the seat belt alarm. Fixed each time by a gentle tap on the seat cushion. I will ask the dealer to check this at the first service.
2. A minor rattle from the roof on bumpy roads developed last week and resolved when I used the complimentary VW CSC roof seal cleaning kit. I'll order some Krytox to keep ahead of this problem.
Everything else has been great. I am very pleased with how much easier it has been to clean a white car after years of dark colours. I have not had a single drop of water leak either with rain or washing.
I was considering "chipping" the car until I actually began driving it. I can not see the need to increase the power. The tyres are at the limit of traction when accelerating hard and I can get to speed faster than I would ever really need to. Overtaking on the open road does not require all the available power now. I can't see the need to risk my warranty.
Last weekend I was driving in the Southern Adelaide Hills when (by complete coincidence) I passed my old car going the other way. Same plates, new owner .... did not regret letting the old beast (V8 ) go.
If you are thinking of buying an Eos I would say "do it, order one now, it is worth the wait."
