    VW MY12 TOUAREG 0-280km < 0.5 seconds

VW MY12 TOUAREG 0-280km in 0.5 seconds - new world vehicle record

Any thoughts comments, recommendations on replacing my unroadworthy, unsafe and probably uninsurable car would be greatly appreciated.

After you have had seven attempts and 18 months to try and fix it, and want me to wait a further 6 months for what you 'believe' a software update will 'probably' fix in March 2014 is an appropriate solution...surely the least you can do is replace this vehicle for a like-for-like I purchased brand new..Volkswagen Australia ?

These are just a fraction of the videos..

And I don't recall asking for this an optional extra when I purchased this brand new car under 2 years ago..

Are reliability issues common on these newer model / shaper Touaregs ?

The above post is probably the only one you will find in this forum. However, he posted the links to 4 his complaints, well at least the ones I know of. Silly really, when people post one problem several times. Not very smart at all, I just have to divide all the complaints at least by 4.

Hey transporter not sure what you mean. So if you let me know I can try and fix it. They are different videos of the same problem.

An update though..the dealer principle finally listened and we have organised for the vehicle to be replaced..of course not a like for like so had to chip in a bit. VW did come to the party with a loan vehicle and I expect to pick up the new one shortly. So all in all I look forward to continuing as a happy hassle free VW owner

What I mean is; that when people experience a problem they're very quick to post it on the internet but when they get some positive response from the dealer, they often don't post it. Just like you. If I wouldn't post here, I'm not sure when/or if you'd come back to this thread and posted that the VW is replacing your car.

Well, lets hope it's all OK from now, and you will enjoy your new Touareg as much as many of us do. Because, for us the Touareg is the most reliable car we ever had.

Agree..the reason I didn't update was there were no comments left. As soon as you guys did I updated...if you ever visit club TOUAREG you will see that.. Like you I purchased the vehicle bc I liked everything about it, obviously got a lemon and for 18 months nothing was done after numerous visits and contact. So really on wasn't that quick to post the fault?
