Touareg V8 or V10?

Hi There,

As the user name implies, I used to have Touareg V10 - absolutely loved it!! But other commitments, so had to go

Now I'm looking for a second hand $30-$40k Touareg for my wife.

Has anyone had reasonable experience with the V10 and V8 - sort of back to back comparison?
Fuel consumption isn't part of the equation as she does few Kms.

Am I better off stretching to $40-50k for a V10 or saving $10-20k on the V8?

V8 is great but the V10 is the one in my book. nothing will match that torque at such low revs. As for spec, much of a muchness realy V8 is well trimmed, has most of the fruit the V10 has.
Cant really comment on kilometers though second hand, if well serviced reasonably bullet proof. Main problem i see on the high k units are noisy whiny front diffs, carden shaft wear, ( they all do, cayenne as well) and lower control arm oil filled bushes. tired and worn trims if not looked after.
