I was searching the web for a secondhand first generation Touareg. However I have noticed that a couple of sellers stated that the car has reconditioned transfercase / Gearbox.

The question is, is there really a known issue with the gearbox or transfer case on 1st generation Touareg? Due to limited fund, I'm looking at a cheaper one with higher K's.
